How To Make Beaded Bead 1/2 (Cover a wooden bead with Peyote Stitch) | Beading Tutorial

www.beadsfriends.com http Hello everybody! In this video I want to show you a pattern that I have created to make a beaded bead. You need a wooden bead size 12 as a base, and Seed Beads size 15/0 in 5 different colours. The technique I’m going to use is Peyote stitch. I hope the tutorial is understandable, see you soon! Sara.

Love this video!! Thank you so much for sharing your work. I was wondering do you follow the same steps in the video if you want to do this with just one color? Thank you again. (^_^)

I can always learn from your videos…

  13. BeadsFriends says:

@Inez404 yes, if you use just one colour the pattern is the same, just be careful becasue using just one colour it’s easy making mistakes ^^

thank you so very much for this tutorial! I love it!!! I was wondering how we can make this bigger. Like what if I wanted to cover a Christmas ornament size ball. How would I make this sphere larger? You are great at what you do and I sincerely appreciate your beautiful work! Looking forward to hearing from you!!

  18. BeadsFriends says:

@hannakims Maybe you can use beads bigger than the ones in the tutorial, and maybe you should start from the central part of you ball (the equator ^^) and then go to the poles, in this way you can create a bead pattern that it’s perfect for your ball. When you cover a bead with beads I think it’s better create a specific pattern for the bead or ball you want to cover, because the bead pattern and the size of beads to use depend on the size of the bead-ball you want to cover… :-)

  19. hannakims says:

Oh thank you so much for your response!!! I will try that, going from the equator of te ball.. Question however, when working towards the poles how do I know when to lower the bead count and how do I do that exactly. And should I start with an even number peyote stitch to make it easy for me. I just get confused as to when and how to make the rows of beads smaller to make it fit the ball. Thank you! I wish you were closer and you could give lessons! I would love to be your student :)

Hello Sara I wanted to know if you can use this same pattern on a bigger wooden bead (15 mm)?? thanks for the tutorial XD

  21. Ekfantos says:

    See is so extremely sweeeeeet!!

  22. BeadsFriends says:

@tpzone I think that the base for a 15mm wooden beads would be bigger then this one… Actually I prefer to create a different pattern for different sizes, in this way all my tiny beads cover very well my wooden bead ^^

I have one of these wooden beaded balls that was made into a necklace with fringes at the end. I bought it from a second hand store. I like to know if you have made one of these into a necklace with fringes, if so would you please make a tutorial. I can’t find the pattern anywhere, I have gotten so many compliments about this necklace and I wish to learn how to make my own. It’s so hard to find this pattern and I thank you so much for posting this.
